Regattas (1)
Yes, the club charges each rower £6 per regatta. This is to cover costs such as entry fees, towing costs and increased wear and tear on equipment. It also helps to keep the cost of annual club membership down.
Teamup Calendar (2)
In Teamup, there is a menu at the top-left. Tap on it and you should see a list of all calendars to which you have access. If any are greyed out, you can tap on them to make them visible. The screenshots are from an iPhone but Android should be similar.

When you join the club the Membership Secretary will send you your link for the Teamup calendar. It’s unique to you so please don’t share it.
To access the calendar you can either use the link in a web browser, or for better results download and install the Teamup Calendar app from the relevant app store.
If you lose the link or change your phone and need to add it to a new device, you can find out your unique link from your membership profile on the Membermojo website.
Boats (1)
The main difference between the two types of boats are as follows:
Wooden gigs:
- Used for racing and race training.
- Based on a traditional design which is controlled by the Cornish Pilot Gig Association (CPGA), our governing body.
- More expensive to purchase and maintain than plastic boats. They must be treated with care!
Plastic (GRP) gigs:
- Used for training and for novice rowing.
- Not usually used for racing but winter regattas are often organised for plastic boats.
Ergos (2)
No, only members are permitted to use the rowing machines
Yes, you need to add your ergo session to the calendar. Use the pink sub-calendar, labelled “Other” and put the title as Ergo then your name and time as usual. This is to avoid turning up and they are already in use. There is a code of conduct so please read this once you are there. No bookings after 8pm please. When you are there, you must also log your session in the paper log in the garage.
